The Hunt for a Perfect Christmas Tree

The kids and I ventured out with the Douglas' this year to find the perfect Christmas tree...it was so cold that day. I made sure Addi had her snow boots and a coat, but, I failed Ethan big time! He didn't bring any snow stuff...he was not happy with me! SO...

Addi spent a little time in the snow...and then got cold

So we took her wet pants off and wrapped her in a coat...she wouldn't stay in the truck. She had to sit by Dawsyn...who needless to say was decked out and very warm!Cole was the man who chopped down the trees. It was a quick choice made by all. They were very beautiful trees.

Ethan enjoyed the trip so much!!! Oh my....I was in big trouble with him!He ended up in the truck with tear filled eyes and frozen toes! For those of you that are perfect mothers and have perfect families...you need not read this. It was supposed to be a perfect day, but I am NOT the perfect mother...and I did not bring snow shoes and pants for Ethan! So this is how our Christmas tree adventure ended! Luckily, Cole had extra snippy juice...aka...Mt. Dew for all three of us. That may have saved our day! Thank you COLE!!!

Don't worry, Ty didn't even bring a long sleeved shirt to Logandale. He's been wearing my dad's jacket all weekend.

I hate to break the news to you but there's no such thing as a perfect mother! Ethan will be a better man because of that day. It looked like a beautiful day!
