Ethan's team. Can you see Addi right in the middle of things?
Ethan enjoyed another season of basketball. At first I thought the boys had it confused with football...it was pretty crazy the first game or two. Thank heavens for good coaches! Dan assisted a few times in coaching...just rotating the boys. Coach Wilkey is really patient and taught Ethan a lot.
The 3rd grade classes did a pioneer program in February. It was really good. I was proud of all the kids. They all danced their little hearts out. They did several dances. They made this covered wagon from a regular red wagon. They honored a little lady that they felt made a big difference in the lives of many. Each child memorized parts of her life history. Too bad I can't remember her name right this minute...
The girls had pioneer dresses and the boys wore western attire. As you can see not much western attire around our house. So we made do with what we had.
The kids were also asked to make a pioneer project. Something that pioneers used; games, quilts or food. We chose to do honey candy. It was not easy let me tell you. I haven't made much candy on my own. I guess it worked out after 3 times. I had blisters all over my hands...oh my it hurt! It was fun to work with Ethan and learn along with him.
