My new favorite soup...found by Allison at http://www.ourbestbites.com/ Here is my dinner recipe for the week Cindy!! I will type it out here, but this cooking blog is a really good one! You should check it out.
Chicken Tortilla Soup
1 recipe Taco Chicken ( Recipe below)
1 large onion chopped
6 cloves garlic minced
4 cans chicken broth
1 - 15 oz can chopped tomatoes
2 jalapeno peppers chopped (optional does add some heat)
2 Stalks Celery chopped
1/4 cup lime juice
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
Saute onion in olive oil for 3-4 minutes. Add garlic, celery and peppers and cook for a few more minutes. Add chicken broth and tomatoes and bring to a boil. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
I add the chicken to the broth...I think that the Best Bites recipe says to add it individually to your bowl with other toppings. Do what you like best!
Top soup with:
Avocado (I like guacamole in it)
Grated Cheese
Cilantro
Sour Cream
Add lime juice to your taste
Corn tortillas cut in strips and fried
Chicken Taco recipe
1 lb chicken
2 juicy limes
Splash of red win vinegar
2-3 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp Kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Juice limes and combine with a couple splashes of red wine vinegar. Add garlic. Pour over chicken. This won't cover the chicken, just turn it occasionally. Marinate between 4-8 hours.
Heat grill while you are simmering the broth. Combine salt, chili powder, cumin and black pepper. Remove chicken from marinade and rub the spices all over the chicken. Then grill and cut up for soup.

that sounds really good, looks like I will be trying it soon.
I was going to ask Allison for this recipe, now I won't have to. I thought it was really good when we had it the other night. Hope all is going well.
Megan, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you about the soaps. I just called the company that is over catalina's (a coupon that prints out after you pay) and the promotion is over. I'm so sad. But, I'll tell you how it works because it has been off and on for a few months. If it comes on again you'll know how it works. Here goes...
Okay, the promotion was buy 3 Johnson's & Johnson's products and a catalina will print out for $3 off any three J & J products. You use that coupon on your next visit or next transaction. So, here's how to get the soap free. I bought all of my soaps at Smith's by the way. They are J & J buddies bars. They are in a bright orange box and have a mesh cover over the soap so it doesn't slip out of little hands. They are $0.97 so 3 of them adds up to just under $3. So, after you have the first catalina, you can use it to buy three more...give them your $3 catalina...and free soap! You just pay the tax. The trick is to buy in sets of three (only 3 per transaction) so that each time you get a new catalina. Does that even make sense? When I get the catalina I call to see how long it will be running. If it is a while I order in soap at Smith's. When it comes I just buy it all using the catalinas. Such a great deal! You're probably completely confused. If so let me know. Sorry it's over, but it might come back. Happy couponing!
I love any and all soup and this one sounds YUMMY! I will definately have to try it. Thanks for sharing
Hey Megan! This is Stephanie, Wayne Oldroyd's daughter. How are you? This is such a great way to keep in touch and it is fun too. Hope all is well.
