Homemade Kettle Corn

I really like the cooking blog Our Best Bites. I have tried many of their recipes...they are easy...don't require many funky ingredients..and they are good! I tried their homemade kettle corn last night. It was very tasty and I think you all should try it!

Stove Top Kettle Corn
Recipe by Our Best Bites

3 T canola or vegetable oil
1/3 C popcorn kernels
3 T granulated sugar
kosher salt

First of all mix the sugar and the popcorn together in a bowl. Begin heating your oil in a large pot that has a lid...wait until it just starts to smoke and then add your popcorn/sugar mixture. Stir for 10 seconds and then put you lid on. The best bites people suggested putting a dish towel over the lid because you have to shake the pot while popping. My popcorn only took a minute or so to pop. I actually took it off before it was completely done and let it finish popping off the heat. After done popping and salt to taste.

Hope you all enjoy! If you want pictures and all visit their website...they are quite entertaining!
