Snorkeling in San Diego

We went a few miles down the road to find a good snorkeling spot. Randy convinced Ethan and Adam to go snorkeling. Dan didn't need any convincing. They all said it was really cool. They got to see some neat fish and sea lions too. The sea lions were swimming all over right up on the beach.
The other cool thing about this beach was that there was this little cave and the kids found little crabs. They spent a lot of time looking and found four or five. Addi was the only one that wasn't afraid to pick them up and hold them.

It looks like Ethan braved holding them too. Dan and I gave in and let the kids bring a couple crabs back to our hotel. Unfortunately one ran off our balcony and died! Sad day for the crab and the kids...but, not for me! This beach was the stinkiest beach ever! Like something dead. I can't remember the name, but someone told me that there used to hundreds of sea lions there that would just lay on the rocks. I guess they had to do something about them because they were taking over the beach. The snorkeling was good but the smell was awful!
